MEL
Queensland artist Mel Brigg has been built an impressive career in his art practice over the past 30 years. Across several continents his work is held in significant embassy, government and corporate collections. A self-taught artist who grew up in regional South Africa, Mel has always been moved by the complexities of the human condition - his paintings reflective of the turbulent times in South Africa in the 1970’s and 1980’s, this artist to date continues to depict man’s urge to aim for a metaphoric place in the light.
